circa 12 January 2024, second dream since childhood

The night after I began taking सहभागिता every evening, I had another dream. I saw parmesan cheese that had gone rotten in places. Dark, wet, bad sections were eaten by worms and maggots while I cleared out the bad parts and ate the parts that still looked good. The scene reminded me of Casu marzu — the Sardinian cheese that is deliberately infested with maggots.

As I woke up and browsed Instagram, a post about parmesan cheese appeared from a Polish girl I liked. She had posted a story of herself eating it with her family. I liked the post. I know she is not a believer, or at least not a committed believer.

Because of the dream, I was astonished of the power that displayed the vision of the cheese before it happened in the future. This astonishment turned into fear. Therefore, I stopped contacting her again.

The lesson

As I reflected on the dream and the post together, these verses came strongly to mind:

2 Corinthians 6:14 (ESV) “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?”

2 Corinthians 6:17 (ESV) “Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you.”

I was also reminded of 1 Corinthians 7:39, which says a believer is free to marry “only in the Lord.”

The image of the maggots in the rotten cheese specifically referenced the girl as unclean. The dream was a warning that we should not yoke with unbelievers.
