The Journey of a Serial Dreamer

Welcome to stories.findgod.help

This site is kept as a personal journal of dreams and stories. It records events that can only be described as unnatural, supernatural, or strangely coincidental - moments that invite reflection on the unseen hand at work in ordinary life.

About the author and his Journey Back to God: He grew up in a middle-class family with an staunch atheist father and a religious Presbyterian mother. Occasional Church was part of his childhood, but it was not until he was about twelve years old that something shifted. Sitting in his mother’s church one Sunday with a Bible open in front of him, he listened as the preacher taught something that directly contradicted the text he was reading. In that moment of quiet astonishment, he prayed a simple prayer: that God would lead him to a church that took the Bible seriously.

Years later, during conscription around 1993-1994, he met members of the I* Church. It was not their evangelism studies that opened his heart. It was their disciplined commitment to studying Scripture. He joined their fellowship and remained for a few years.

By 1996, however, he had walked away. Disillusioned by the absence of a life partner and troubled by the suffering and illness he saw in the world, he carried a quiet challenge to God in his heart: that God would prove Himself through miracles and healing. Life continued to teach him in unexpected ways. A snowboard accident introduced him to the power of nutrition; he healed a broken femur with remarkable speed using milk and vitamin D. In 2016 he adopted the ketogenic diet to optimise his performance in dragon boat racing. Around 2020, while experimenting with the carnivore diet, he experienced what he can only describe as healing from internal bleeding that may well have been colon cancer.

The decisive moment came in October 2023. A brief connection with someone who wanted to visit her own Catholic church led them to explore places of worship together. He had hoped she would one day visit the Bible-centred I* church in London he had attended between 1993 and 1996. When she refused and withdrew, he returned alone-on the very day Hamas attacked Israel. Gratitude began to draw him back toward the faith he had once known.

In January 2024, after reflecting on the parable of the rich man and the camel, he made a deeper commitment: to partake of communion every evening. From the first night, something long dormant returned. After thirty-seven years without them, he began to dream again-vivid, meaningful dreams he had not experienced since he was a child. This fulfilled, in his own life, the promise recorded in Acts 2:17 "In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people... your old men will dream dreams."

This site exists to document those dreams and the stories that have grown alongside them. It is the record of a man who once walked away, was drawn back through healing and circumstance, and now seeks to understand what God is saying through the Scriptures, through restored dreams, and through the quiet discipline of daily communion.

Purpose of this site

These pages exist because of an encounter with the son of the author’s cousin. When some of these dreams were shared with him - a young man who did not yet believe - the conversation made him more convinced of the reality of the Bible and of Christianity. The exchange brought to mind what the apostle Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 14:24-25, where the sharing of revelation can convict an unbeliever and make the reality of God evident. This encounter has led to the creation of this site as an act of obedience to Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 14. Paul urges believers to "earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy" (1 Cor 14:1), because the one who prophesies speaks "for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort" (1 Cor 14:3) and builds up the church (1 Cor 14:4, 12). He also shows that such revelation has power when shared with those who do not yet believe. The site therefore exists to share these dreams and stories in obedience to Paul's words from the Holy Spirit, so that they may reach those who do not yet believe and strengthen, encourage, and build up those who already do. These pages are kept as a personal journal. The dreams and stories are not presented as equal to Scripture or as new doctrine. Everything here remains open to testing against the written Word of God, in keeping with Paul’s instruction that "the others weigh what is said" (1 Cor 14:29). All things are to be done for the building up of others (1 Cor 14:26).

May you, whether you do not yet believe or already believe, find in these accounts a clearer vision of the reality of God through Jesus Christ and the Scriptures - and may your faith be strengthened.
